    Lead a customer-centric HR team

    Inclusive and supportive workplace culture

    West Beach Parks (WBP) is a multi award-winning holiday, sport, and community destination, situated along 1.2km of picturesque Adelaide coastline.  The 135-hectare precinct in West Beach offers something for everyone – from accommodation to a premium golf park, a marina and world-class sports facilities.  Guests can choose from two accommodation properties, including South Australia’s largest and renowned Discovery Parks – WBP, and enjoy an array of recreational opportunities suited to all ages and interests.

    WBP is a South Australian Government statutory authority dedicated to the environment, preserving natural surroundings, and enhancing local biodiversity.  Community connection is at WBP core, where inclusive spaces that welcome people from all walks of life are provided to enjoy and engage with the outdoors.

    Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate Services, the People & Culture Manager is responsible for leading the design, delivery and implementation of the WBP People Strategy.  Key responsibilities of this generalist human resources management role include:

    • continuously improving human resources planning, systems and processes to meet ever changing business needs;
    • fostering, modelling and developing a positive organisational culture;
    • leading and developing a small people and culture team;
    • ensuring that WBP is an inclusive and safe work environment;
    • positioning the organisation as an “employer of choice”;
    • overseeing the core people and culture functions including attraction, retention, induction, performance management, industrial relations, learning and development, payroll, WHS and injury management.

    Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified individuals with a successful track record in a comparable human resources role, leading a small team and driving an internal customer-centric culture across the business.  The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, authentic, and optimistic, with a desire to lead and mentor, drive continuous growth and foster an environment where both team members and customers feel valued and engaged.  Enjoy a range of employee benefits including free parking, staff allowances, discounted health insurance and health and wellbeing programs.

    This is a rare opportunity to join the organisation at the heart of South Australia’s premier sport, recreation and coastal holiday destination and proactively contribute to the core values of Ethics, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork.
