    Vibrant and growing learning community valuing diversity
    Lead curriculum innovation and excellence across Years 7-12

    For more than 20 years, Endeavour College in Mawson Lakes has thrived as a leading Christian co-educational secondary school, educating young people from years 7-12 under the umbrella of the Lutheran Church.  With 750 students and over 100 staff, the College is a member of Connected Schools offering a seamless K-12 education experience.

    With a vision to educate the whole person – academically, spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally, and a strong sense of community and inclusivity, the College creates a vibrant learning community that values diversity.

    Reporting to the Principal and a key member of the Leadership Team, the Head of Teaching and Learning develops, coordinates and monitors the learning programs for middle and senior years students and plays a significant role in the leadership of the College.  Key responsibilities include:

    • developing and implementing a curriculum framework and mapping the student learning journey to support successful student learning outcomes;
    • providing specialist curriculum advice, curriculum and learning co-ordination and ensuring effective pedagogical practices within the College;
    • monitoring assessment and reporting procedures and SACE requirements;
    • leading, managing and developing Heads of Department and curriculum based Coordinators;
    • working collaboratively across the leadership group to oversee and drive projects and programs with a focus on senior years student learning outcomes;
    • keeping abreast of emerging education trends and practices, including e-learning, and assessing their value for students within the curriculum framework;
    • consulting with students, parents and staff on curriculum and learning matters.

    Applications are encouraged from contemporary and qualified secondary years educators with demonstrated success in developing and implementing curriculum combined with modelling and promoting effective teaching, learning and assessment practices.  The ideal candidate will be an inspiring, collaborative educator with highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, energy, warmth, diplomacy and a genuine alignment with the College’s Lutheran values and educational philosophy.  This full time appointment contributes strongly to leadership while maintaining a small teaching allocation.

    This is an outstanding opportunity to make a valuable contribution in supporting the learners of today to become the leaders of tomorrow within a growing and connected community.
