An exciting opportunity to lead in this dynamic community as the Head of Junior Years has emerged. Reporting to the Principal and serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role plays a key part in executing the College strategic directions across pastoral care, co-curricular, events and house in the Junior Years. It is also instrumental in fostering strong, collaborative partnerships between parents, students and teachers.
Leading the Junior School staff and a thriving R-6 student population of 450, the appointee will guide the delivery of a holistic education and the ongoing development and wellbeing of students and staff. Working closely with the R-12 Director of Teaching and Learning, Head of Middle and Senior Years and the R-12 Assistant Head of Student Wellbeing in relation to their portfolios, the Head of Junior Years ensures a strong Junior Years learning foundation and a cohesive educational experience for students and their families across the College. Communication, collaboration and building effective teaching teams are essential elements. Implementation of innovative curriculum programs, future-ready capabilities and contemporary pedagogy appropriate for the primary sector are central to this role.
