    Shape the future of a new junior school

    Join a thriving, values driven college community

    For 27 years, Endeavour College in Mawson Lakes has thrived as a leading Christian co-educational secondary school, educating young people from Years 7–12 under the umbrella of the Lutheran Church.  A significant milestone is now underway: the opening of a new Junior School, accommodating more than 300 students from Reception to Year 6 and creating a seamless R–12 learning pathway.  With a strong focus on sustainability, technology and innovation, students will be inspired and supported from the very start of their school journey within a nurturing, values based environment.

    The new Junior School precinct will feature state-of-the-art learning areas, specialist STEM and enrichment spaces, a dedicated library and resource hub, music tutorial rooms, contemporary play and learning zones and a central multi-purpose hall for school and community events.

    Reporting to the Deputy Principal and responsible to the Principal as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Junior School will guide the delivery of holistic education and foster the development and wellbeing of students and staff in line with the College’s strategic direction.  Working collaboratively with the Head of Teaching and Learning and the Heads of Senior and Middle Schools, key responsibilities include:

    • leading the development of Christian ethos and culture, modelling spiritual development in daily practice;
    • providing leadership of the learning, well-being and engagement of Junior School students;
    • ensuring appropriate curriculum development for Junior School learners while supporting pedagogical practices of teachers, including delivering a 0.2 FTE teaching component;
    • contribute to the development of resourcing plans and provide leadership to staff to support professional growth and reflective practice;
    • working with school leaders to implement an effective pastoral care program, while planning and delivering an instructional program that encourages students to reach their full potential;
    • ensuring collaborative engagement with colleagues, students and the school community in the delivery of excellence in educational programs, operations and student wellbeing.

    Applications are invited from experienced and highly capable primary years leaders with appropriate qualifications, proven success leading junior school programs and staff, and contemporary knowledge of curriculum, educational trends and junior years pedagogy. Superior interpersonal skills, a collaborative and consultative style, sound judgement, warmth, diplomacy, drive and innovative thinking will be essential.  A genuine affinity with the values and Christian ethos of the College is required.

    Enquire now to explore this unique opportunity to contribute at the leadership level in shaping a new Junior School within a respected, thriving and growing College.  Commencement for Term 2, 2026, and no later than start of Term 3, 2026 will be required.
