    Based in Horsham, Victoria, and reporting to the Executive Manager Residential and Home Care, the General Manager, Residential Care (Horsham) is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team and ensuring the strategic and operational excellence of a newly acquired residential aged care facility.  This pivotal role will also focus on strengthening connections with the local community and surrounding districts.  Key responsibilities include:

    • leading the overall strategic direction and operational management of the Horsham facility;
    • driving a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement;
    • ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and fostering a person centred care environment;
    • developing and supporting a high performing, values aligned multidisciplinary team;
    • building highly engaged relationships with residents, families, staff, and the broader regional community;
    • collaborating with and contributing to LHG’s leadership team and corporate services to ensure alignment with organisational goals and systems;
    • proactively and positively leading change and integration initiatives;
    • overseeing risk management, quality assurance, and accreditation processes.

    Applications are encouraged from accomplished leaders with proven experience in residential aged care, and a strong understanding of clinical governance, operational management, and transformational change.  AHPRA registration and/or relevant clinical governance experience, supported by tertiary qualifications in business or health management, are highly desirable.  A demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver high quality care outcomes is essential.

    The successful candidate will be a values driven and collaborative leader with excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a passion for enhancing the lives of older Australians.
