    Reporting to the Hender Group leadership, the General Manager will lead a dedicated, experienced team and drive the continued success of Hender Careers through strategic business development, client engagement and high quality service delivery.  As the face of the Hender Careers brand, the General Manager will build trusted relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders, while fostering a collaborative and values aligned internal culture.  Key responsibilities include:

    • leading the strategic direction and daily operations of Hender Careers;
    • building and maintaining strong client relationships across diverse sectors;
    • identifying and pursuing growth opportunities to expand market share and services;
    • overseeing and directly facilitating high quality career transition and development programs;
    • managing and mentoring a team to ensure alignment with organisational values and program delivery standards;
    • representing Hender Careers in the business and professional community;
    • contributing to the broader success of the Hender Group through collaboration and shared leadership.

    Applications are encouraged from experienced professionals with backgrounds in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, Business, Coaching, Counselling, Education, Recruitment, Training and Development, or Professional Services consulting. Highly developed communication, consultancy, business development and relationship building skills are essential, along with a genuine passion for making a positive difference in people’s lives and careers.  An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated based on experience, with potential for performance based incentives and flexible work options.
