    Established in 1874 and celebrating 150 years in 2024, Can:Do 4Kids, Townsend House is South Australia’s oldest children’s charity.  The Group’s rich history inspires Can:Do 4Kids’ specialist early intervention and therapy services for children who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, have low vision and/or developmental delays.  Can:Do Hearing is the social enterprise audiology business, trusted by over 10,000 clients across five clinics, they are South Australia’s hearing care experts.

    As the long serving and much respected incumbent steps away from her role, an opportunity for an emerging or proven finance professional with a commercial brain and social heart has emerged.  Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and a highly accomplished and skills-based board, responsibilities of this key role include:

    • preparing financial statements, management reports and analysis to support critical decision making and long-term strategic planning;
    • managing budgeting and cash flow and preparing forecasts;
    • evaluating and enhancing financial systems and processes identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and best practices;
    • undertaking financial modelling for the purposes of investment appraisal and analysis;
    • leading and mentoring a small, dedicated team while fostering a collaborative culture;
    • coordinating with external auditors to facilitate annual audits, ensuring accurate and timely audit reports;
    • overseeing facilities, ICT and WHS management for the entity.

    This position will suit a tertiary qualified finance leader ideally with CA/CPA status.  The successful candidate will be an intelligent, committed, pragmatic, data-focused professional displaying integrity, flexibility, initiative, curiosity, drive, energy and well developed interpersonal and stakeholder relationship building skills.  A genuine affinity with the vision and purpose of a not-for-profit organisation of this type will be required, however applications are welcome from candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds.
