    Established in 2003, Ninti One Limited (Ninti) works with First Nations peoples and government, organisations and businesses to achieve social and economic development outcomes through research, innovation and engagement in Australia – and more recently in a range of sectors across the Pacific and Asia.  With over 30 staff, supported by a progressive Board and Executive Leadership Team, Ninti has offices in Adelaide and Alice Springs and staff and associates based in other States and Territories.

    An exciting opportunity has emerged for a motivated and proactive finance/administration support professional to provide assistance to the CFO and wider finance team.  Based in Adelaide, and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, key responsibilities include:

    • facilitating month end credit card processes;
    • preparing quarterly BAS and GST expense spreadsheets;
    • recording general journal entries into accounting software;
    • reconciling bank accounts and funding income;
    • providing back up to various financial functions including EOFY archiving;
    • managing office supplies, handling incoming/outgoing mail, uploading and modifying contracts, data entry and IT related tasks as required;
    • general administrative support to the team and wider organisation;
    • other ad hoc duties as they arise.

    Applications are sought from candidates with understanding of the cultural, political, economic and social issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.  The successful candidate will ideally possess qualifications in Business Administration or Accounting with previous experience in a similar hands-on finance and administration support role.  Most importantly, you will be a supportive team contributor, have a willingness to learn and develop new skills, demonstrate high attention to detail, a positive and proactive can-do attitude, excellent organisation skills and possess superior communication skills.  Proficient computer skills in Outlook, Microsoft Office and Excel are a must, practical working knowledge of Reckon would be highly regarded, however not essential.  Ninti in turn offers, on-site parking, flexibility, professional development and a positive vibrant team culture and annual social events for its employees.

    This ongoing position if offered on either a full-time or part-time (3-4 days per week) basis, in office.  Flexible working hours can be negotiated to attract the right candidate (e.g. school hours etc).
