    The City of Salisbury is one of South Australia’s largest and most progressive Councils, serving a growing community of 147,000 residents in a region of ever-increasing economic and social importance to the State’s future.  With close to 500 dedicated staff, total income of $170m, assets of $2.1b and a significant focus on progressive community engagement and partnerships, the City has an exciting future focused on enhancing economic, social and sustainability outcomes.

    Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the CEO and Executive Team, the newly created senior leadership role of Divisional Head, Corporate Solutions is a strategic and high impact role delivering contemporary finance, procurement, technology and business transformation. Leading a portfolio across finance, procurement, technology and business transformation the role will be instrumental in driving transformation across the organisation as a key enabler of Council’s future direction.  Core responsibilities include:

    • driving financial leadership including planning, modelling, and performance reporting to support long term sustainability and community value;
    • delivering an ERP and technology platform transformation program to modernise Council operations and enhance service delivery;
    • implementing a new corporate services structure that aligns systems, processes, and people to deliver contemporary customer centric solutions;
    • leveraging AI and digital technologies to improve internal efficiencies and community facing services, while strengthening cyber security maturity;
    • providing strategic advice to the Executive Team to inform key decisions and ensure alignment with organisational goals;
    • building strategic partnerships to optimise revenue and enhance value to community outcomes.

    Local government experience is not essential and applications are encouraged from senior leaders in the private sector who are passionate about public value and ready to bring fresh thinking to a progressive Council.

    You will be a commercially astute executive with a strong foundation in the division’s responsibilities and a proven track record of leading transformation across a comparable service portfolio.  Complimentary experience in delivering enterprise-wide technology initiatives, ideally within a SaaS environment, along with strong project management and change leadership capabilities will be highly regarded. Exceptional stakeholder engagement, a collaborative mindset and the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement are essential.
