    Woodcroft College is an independent co-educational Anglican school located in Morphett Vale, south of Adelaide.  Established in 1989, Woodcroft now welcomes circa 1,650 students from ELC to Year 12 into a progressive, engaged and energetic learning community.  The College encourages students at all year levels to explore and understand their potential with a commitment to Find Their Remarkable. 

    The Woodcroft Early Learning Centre is purpose built with its 170 youngest learners in mind, designed to encourage play, curiosity, imagination, discovery and adventure.  Delivering specialised programs guided by the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Early Years Learning Framework, the ELC equips its students with the knowledge of self, sense of inquiry and problem-solving skills to serve as strong foundation to their future learnings.

    A unique opportunity to lead the dynamic Woodcroft Early Learning Centre as Director has emerged.  Reporting to the Principal as part of the College Leadership Team, and working closely with the Head of Junior School, this role oversees pastoral care, administration and curriculum development for the ELC to drive educational outcomes and operational excellence.  Key responsibilities of this significant early years leadership role include:

    • providing strategic oversight and coordination of the Centre’s operations to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and College standards;
    • ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Centre, maintaining a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff;
    • overseeing staffing arrangements, including recruitment, supervision, absence cover, and professional support;
    • maintaining rigorous administrative systems that comply with funding, licensing, and regulatory requirements;
    • leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation-of educational programs tailored to the developmental needs of each child;
    • building and maintaining collaborative relationships with College leadership, staff, families, and external professionals.

    Applications are encouraged from early childhood educators aspiring and ready to or already experienced in leading an ELC operation.  A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning framework, alongside demonstrated leadership ability and proven financial acumen will be highly regarded.  Excellent interpersonal skills, complemented by the warmth, integrity, empathy, grace, courage and energy to engage with and inspire the College and wider community, will be key to success in this role.
