    An opportunity exists for an accomplished primary years educator to join the school’s leadership team as Deputy Principal – Teaching and Learning.  Reporting to the Principal and working cohesively with the Deputy Principal Wellbeing and Culture, the role provides leadership in curriculum development and delivery, ensuring alignment with the IB PYP framework and the school’s commitment to educational excellence.  Key responsibilities include:

    • leading the coordination and ongoing development of the PYP across the school;
    • overseeing curriculum planning, delivery and assessment to ensure high quality learning outcomes;
    • supporting and mentoring staff in implementing effective teaching, learning and assessment practices;
    • collaborating with leadership and curriculum teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement;
    • fostering strong relationships with students, staff and families to build a connected and caring school community;
    • deputising for the Principal as required and contributing to whole school leadership and decision making.

    Applications are invited from qualified educators with experience in primary years curriculum leadership and a commitment to contemporary teaching and learning.  Ideally you will be a PYP-trained educator or will demonstrate commitment to investing in PYP development.  A passionate, team oriented leader with a proven ability to enhance curriculum, model effective pedagogy and foster best practice.  Energy, warmth, diplomacy and highly developed interpersonal skills, along with a genuine alignment to the school’s Christian values and educational philosophy are also important.
