St Mark’s College was founded in 1925 as the first university residential College in Adelaide.  Comprising a vibrant and diverse community whose life comes from its members, the College today combines the best of tradition with a modern and progressive outlook and is home to an active community of around 250 students.

Reporting to the Head of College and working closely with the highly experienced Board, the Business Director will be responsible for:

• effective delivery of core business operations including finance, ICT, HR, property and administration;
• proactively contributing to the overall strategy of the College;
• providing robust financial systems, insightful analysis and sound commercial advice to support informed decision making;
• managing compliance, governance reporting and external supplier relationships;
• leadership and development of staff to provide an outstanding student experience.

This is a hands-on and diverse corporate services role, requiring both commercial acumen and authentic, relational leadership.  While experience in the sector is not essential, a genuine belief in and affinity for education is key.  Most critical is the ability to blend strategic financial oversight with day-to-day business operations to support the ongoing success of this respected and future-focused educational institution.  The role will suit an experienced and appropriately qualified corporate services professional keen to embed themselves and add value to the College and its residents.
