Ronald McDonald House Charities South Australia (RMHCSA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, part of a global charity with a highly collaborative federated structure in Australia.  With a mission to support the ever changing needs of seriously ill children and their families, RMHCSA provides vital accommodation and support programs for families with seriously ill and injured children in care at the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Run by a team of professional staff and engaged volunteers, with generous support of donors, sponsors and corporate partners, each year RMHCSA hosts over 300 families at housing and apartments in North Adelaide, ensuring a safe, comforting, and supportive place to stay during a very difficult time.

Embarking on a significant new housing build aligned to the new hospital development, it’s an exciting time to join the passionate, committed and skills-based Board as several members approach end of tenure.  Applications are encouraged from both proven and emerging governance professionals with strategic experience in the following disciplines:

• health and clinical services;
• strategic marketing/communications and public relations;
• fundraising/philanthropy;
• stakeholder engagement;
• government relations;
• finance and legal.

A genuine affinity with the purpose and vision of Ronald McDonald House Charities, complemented by warmth, authenticity, compassion, and commercial acumen are considered essential qualities to bring to the Board. Relevant governance qualifications (AICD) will be highly regarded.
