    MADEC Australia is a successful community owned not-for-profit and charitable organisation with a proud 50+ year history of providing relief to people experiencing poverty and/or distress.  Employing around 180 staff across the country and with a turnover circa up to $200m, MADEC delivers employment services, education and training, a pacific labour mobility scheme and indigenous programs.

    With multiple roles on offer and reporting to the General Manager – Labour Hire, this pivotal role will drive growth and strengthen MADEC’s reputation as a trusted labour hire partner and position it as an employer and industry partner of choice.  Key responsibilities include:

    • developing, implementing and maintaining a business development strategy aligned with the organisation’s goals and values;
    • identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities in target industries and regions;
    • actively promoting the full range of service offerings to prospective and existing clients;
    • building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with host employers, industry associations and key stakeholders;
    • acting as a trusted advisor to clients and developing tailored workforce solutions that align with their operational needs;
    • partnering with Regional Managers and Workforce Operations teams to align client expectations with workforce capacity.

    Successful candidates will be experienced in business development, sales or account management within a workforce solutions or people-intensive industry and demonstrate a strong track record of securing new business, managing client portfolios and achieving growth targets.  Essential qualities sought include a strong commercial mindset, exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, excellent problem solving skills, a proactive approach and the capability to influence, negotiate and build credibility and trust.

    With frequent travel expected, Business Development Managers can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane or Sydney.
