Wilderness School is one of South Australia’s foremost independent schools educating girls from Early Learning to Year 12. Working closely with the Principal, Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, this role is expected to ensure the development and delivery of both strategic and operational Human Resources services, activities and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- manage and deliver the human resource function, with focus on the components of the employee lifecycle such as attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention and separation;
- innovate and streamline to ensure best practice HR administration including leave management, contract renewal and exit interviews;
- oversee the Performance Development Review system in consultation with Line Managers provoking positive changes in people and performance;
- provide support to the Principal and Business Manager in relation to all industrial and employee relations matters.

Versatility, warmth, diplomacy, professionalism, vision, drive, energy, an internal service focus and excellent relationship building skills will also be required. Experience in schools is not a prerequisite but a genuine affinity with the values and ethos of the School and independent education will be expected.
