The Association of Independent Schools of South Australia (AISSA) is the peak body for the independent school sector in SA.  The AISSA plays a significant leadership role in supporting, representing and advocating for the independent school sector to enhance the success, sustainability and strength of its member schools.  The AISSA is committed to diversity, integrity, excellence and expertise in education.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, a Senior Accountant role has been created within this highly respected peak body.  Key responsibilities include:

• payroll administration, accounts payable and receivable, preparation of IAS/BAS, FBT and statutory returns, cash flow management, reconciliations and fixed assets;
• assisting the CFO with month-end processes, management accounting and financial reporting, forecasting, grant management and budgeting;
• providing administrative support to the CFO, including coordination of meetings, reports, and general tasks;
• supporting projects and tasks assigned by the CFO or Chief Executive;
• maintaining effective document control and records management to ensure appropriate control of financial data;
• contributing to change management strategies, demonstrating initiative and providing solutions within the AISSA’s organisational culture.

Applications are encouraged from CA/CPA qualified candidates with relevant tertiary qualifications and proven experience in a comparable role.  High proficiency in financial accounting packages including Xero and MYOB and Microsoft Office suite will be well regarded.  The successful candidate will display highly effective relationship building, communication and organisational skills with strong attention to detail, and a professional work ethic underpinned by integrity and accountability.
