Event Rigging Solutions is South Australia’s leading specialist event and entertainment rigging company. This successful and rapidly expanding business works across venues, festivals, corporate functions and touring productions — and is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help it continue to deliver its important services at the highest standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role that sits at the intersection of technical rigging expertise and operational management.  You’ll oversee the day-to-day delivery of rigging services across multiple and simultaneous gigs, from crew scheduling and resource allocation through to safety compliance, equipment management and client relationships. Up to 50% of your time will be on-gig, with the remainder office-based (WFH with regular site visits).

The Operations Manager will lead and mentor the Head Riggers and crew, manage workforce planning and rostering, and serve as the primary operational contact for key clients on-gig.  You’ll also oversee rigging design reviews, load calculations, safety audits, equipment maintenance schedules, and ensure all documentation is finalised for invoicing and compliance purposes.

The right candidate will bring a strong combination of technical and production knowledge with operational leadership.  Requirements include an Advanced Rigging Certificate or equivalent technical certification, plus industry tickets including White Card, EWP, Working at Heights and First Aid.  Proven experience as an entertainment rigger, with national or international touring experience will be an advantage as will be demonstrated experience in event production or entertainment.  Strong understanding of WHS obligations, load calculations and rigging systems is also imperative along with the ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities and stay composed under pressure.  Proficiency with project management, rostering software and the Microsoft Office Suite will also be highly regarded.

This unique role involves regular evening, overnight and weekend work in line with the live events industry.  You’ll work across a range of environments — outdoor venues, concert arenas, conference centres and indoor cultural venue settings — and must be physically capable of working at heights and with heavy rigging equipment.

If you’re considering a move, Adelaide is one of Australia’s most liveable and underrated cities in the World.  The cost of living is significantly lower and the daily grind is genuinely less grinding.  The City sits between some of Australia’s most spectacular beaches to the west and the Adelaide Hills to the east, offering an outdoor lifestyle and convenience that’s hard to match.  The food and wine scene is internationally renowned with the Barossa, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley all within easy reach, and a thriving live music, arts and entertainment calendar means there’s always something on.  It’s a City that works well, feels good, and leaves time for quality living outside of work.

Make an enquiry to explore this career defining opportunity to join a flourishing events industry player and add your expertise and energy as the business continues to expand and exceed client expectations.
