With over 5,000 staff and an expenditure budget around $1billion, Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) was formed in 2012 and is a significant component of SA Health. SCSS leads and manages the five business units that operate across the whole State: Breast Screen SA, SA Dental, SA Medical Imaging, SA Pathology and SA Pharmacy.

Reporting to the SCSS Director of Finance and working closely with the SCSS Group Executive Director, Risk Manager and Compliance Manager, this newly configured autonomous role will be responsible for the management, planning, evaluation and delivery of internal audits for SCSS.

Primary responsibilities include formulating a detailed risk based Internal Audit Plan, liaising with and reporting to the SCSS Audit and Risk Committee, conducting independent assurance and critical reviews of business processes and service lines and providing expert advice on risks, controls and governance.
