Seeking Commercial/Industrial Property Management expertise

The South Australian Produce Market (SAPM) is a pivotal hub for the State’s fresh produce industry.  It serves as the primary wholesale market where over 250,000 tonnes of fresh produce, valued at over $590 million, are traded annually between wholesalers, growers, and retail operators.  With a strong balance sheet, continued asset growth, and a commitment to sustainability and the local economy, SAPM is continually evolving to meet the dynamic needs of the agricultural sector.

An opportunity exists for a highly qualified Independent Director to join the board in providing strategic insights and guidance on key issues affecting the organisation, including governance oversight, risk management, financial stewardship, stakeholder engagement and performance valuation.  Candidates with a strong understanding of best practice governance and demonstrated experience in the following areas are sought:

• senior management experience in commercial property with a strong understanding of property market fundamentals, in particular industrial property;
• property fund management experience (i.e. Australian Real Estate Investment Trust or major property agency);
• expertise in feasibility and financial structures relating to property development;
• a strong understanding of leasing development and covenants.

GAICD qualified, or preparedness to undertake, you will be a proven senior executive or non-executive director with significant experience in corporate governance, a passion for the agricultural industry, and a commitment to driving sustainable growth.  High levels of commercial acumen, complemented by exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management capacity are essential qualities sought.
