    Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of ship and submarine building infrastructure in support of the Commonwealth’s continuous naval shipbuilding program.  Since being formed in 2017, ANI has developed an enviable reputation for delivering significant major projects and facilities.

    ANI is responsible for the expansion and modernisation of the Osborne Naval Shipyard into a world-class shipbuilding precinct, including design and construction of the nuclear powered submarine construction yard, and the continued operation and maintenance of Common Use Infrastructure.  To support the growth of the team in delivering on this significant program of work, the organisation is now recruiting for this key role.

    Reporting to the General Manager, People and Culture, the HR Business Partner will act as a trusted internal advisor in relation to all people matters and is focussed on developing and improving ANI’s practices across all aspects of human resources management, including:

    • Assisting with workforce planning and attraction, recruitment and retention strategies, particularly in relation to ANI’s continued growth;
    • managing or overseeing recruitment processes (directly and/or with assistance from external service providers);
    • providing day to day advice and guidance to leaders on performance development (coaching, and career development);
    • developing and implementing appropriate tools and resources to support performance management, learning and development initiatives and career development;
    • developing and implementing initiatives to enhance ANI’s employee value proposition, including reward and recognition, flexible work practices, diversity and inclusion;
    • reviewing and enhancing ANI’s existing HR systems, policies, processes and associated documentation.

    Applications are sought from appropriately qualified human resources professionals with well-developed HR generalist experience including contemporary practice in performance management and development, employee relations, recruitment, HR operations, policy and process.

    The successful candidate will display highly effective interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, a proactive attitude and a professional and collaborative approach to managing people and culture related matters.  Excellent organisational skills and a natural team player mindset will also be important, as will the self-motivation and results oriented focus to drive outcomes in a role that oscillates between hands on and strategy.

    This is a great opportunity for a HR generalist with formal tertiary qualifications who is keen to make a role their own within an organisation which is rapidly scaling up.  The role would suit a professional with an Organisational Development or Organisational Psychology background who enjoys working across the broad HR suite to further develop and operationalise processes, systems and initiatives that directly impact positive employee and business outcomes.
