St Columba College is a co-educational Reception to Year 12 College, located in the northern Adelaide suburbs with enrolments of over 1,400 students.  The College is entering an exciting phase of expansion and development, and is focused on providing high-quality learning experiences that foster resilience and personal wellbeing in students, enabling them to thrive.

Reporting to the Principal and as a member of the College Leadership Team, the Head of Secondary School will lead a progressive vision for the direction and development of the Senior School.  The role will provide leadership to enrich wellbeing and pastoral care of students from years 6-12, ensuring their experience is rewarding and of the highest quality to help them thrive beyond St Columba.  Key responsibilities include:

• leading day-to-day management and coordination of the Secondary school campus;
• making a significant contribution to the overall strategic direction of the school as part of the College Leadership team;
• inspiring and modelling a culture of respect, care, compassion, collaboration and inclusion;
• providing supportive leadership to enable professional growth and development of Secondary School staff;
• serving as a key communicator to enable positive relationships with the broad College community including staff, parents, and students.

Applications are sought from proven and credible secondary/senior years educational leaders with appropriate qualifications and a vision and passion for the wellbeing and education of young adults.  You will demonstrate the versatility, warmth, diplomacy, professionalism, drive, energy and innovative thinking necessary for a senior leadership role of this nature.  A genuine alignment with and ability to nurture the Anglican and Catholic ethos and values of the College is essential.
