    Reporting to the Chief Executive, this pivotal new senior Executive role leads and manages a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver support services, professional learning programs, and strategic initiatives that enhance the success and sustainability of member schools.  Key responsibilities include:

    • leading, managing and developing a diverse team of consultants and professional practitioners in education and support areas;
    • undertaking regular review of programs, services and structures to ensure they meet member schools’ evolving needs;
    • leading the development and delivery of a suite of professional learning offerings and special projects including leadership, pedagogy, curriculum and assessment, inclusion, technology, coaching, cultural awareness and First Nations education;
    • collaborating with the AISSA Executive Team to develop and execute the AISSA’s Strategic Plan, and to support delivery of key services to members;
    • developing timely and accurate communications for member schools and external stakeholders;
    • contributing to the AISSA Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan in partnership with the Reconciliation Working Group.

    Applications are encouraged from experienced senior leaders with relevant tertiary qualifications and proven experience and knowledge of the school education landscape at both state and national levels.  The successful candidate will be a highly engaging leader with well-developed financial, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.  Creative thinking, problem solving, organisational, and decision‑making skills will also be important.
