    Lutheran Education Victoria, New South Wales & Tasmania (LEVNT) supports a vibrant network of Lutheran schools and early childhood services across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.  As a ministry of the Lutheran Church of Australia, LEVNT partners with learning communities to strengthen identity, leadership and sustainability through education expertise, governance support, professional learning, innovation and faith formation, enabling communities to thrive in an evolving educational landscape.

    To further advance this vision, the position of Director – Organisational Development has been created to strengthen school support in the areas of workforce strategy, governance and risk and operations across the LEVNT region.  Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director – School Support and Sustainability and as a member of the Executive Team, the role contributes directly to delivery of the LEVNT Strategic Plan, Together We Flourish.  Core responsibilities include:

    • establishing a contemporary people and culture service model that provides consistent advice, resources and support to learning communities;
    • supporting and advising learning communities in the areas of employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, complex workforce matters and system wide policies;
    • providing system wide oversight of industrial relations and compliance;
    • championing a proactive culture of workplace health, safety and wellbeing across the LEVNT network;
    • supporting and promoting a compelling an employee value proposition that attracts, develops and retains staff aligned with LEVNT’s mission and values;
    • contributing to executive leadership and system governance and operations through sound judgement, accountability and disciplined oversight aligned to LEVNT’s strategic priorities;
    • overseeing organisational compliance systems, company secretarial requirements, breach and incident responses, complaints management, and a coordinated program of internal review and assurance activities.

    Applications are encouraged from accomplished senior human resources, governance or human services professionals with highly developed strategic and relational leadership capability who are seeking to make a meaningful system‑wide contribution.  The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong record of leading and delivering people, culture and governance related programs within complex and/or regulated environments.  Exposure to company secretarial functions will also be highly regarded.  A personal commitment to the mission, ministry and values of Lutheran education is essential.
